Semester 1 - week 11 - Muscular structure

This week's practice was to study the muscular structure having as a model a muscular body type.
The technique that I used here was to show the muscles using mostly contrast between light and shadow, but also I have exaggerated the  some forms so they could be more visible.
I have chose a drawing that shows 2 positions from 2 view angles, so they can be seen from almost everywhere.
For the first drawing from left it can be said that the focal point would be the torso because the contrast and the lines are really strong there, and the position of the hands are making almost a circle that drives the eye in there. The left arm could be bigger because the contrast and the black near it makes it smaller. The overall silhouette looks a little bit out of balance, maybe it could be fixed by moving the left leg slightly to the right.
The second drawing shows the muscles from the back. Again the silhouette looks out of balance maybe because of the wrong perspective of the chair. The focal point is the back of the man and the shadow of the arms that is surrounding that area.
