Semester 2 - week 7 - Line and perspective - capturing curves

This is a landscape focusing on arcs that represents the interior of the atrium in the Richmond building (Bradford University). I chose this view because it's showing an interesting composition with arcs and shadows.
The drawing was made using grayscale markers, black pen and color water pencils, which helped me to show the differences between light/shadow and some interesting colours.
The arcs are describing the celling which looks really dynamic and in contrast there are many vertical and horizontal lines that are helping the composition to look settle. Also the bit diagonal line in the middle is not affecting the static feeling because it's sustaining the celling.
The focal point is where the eye is resting, in the right side where there are some windows and the contrast is most powerful. Also the implied line are driving the eye there, but in contrast the middle pole is keeping balance pointing in the opposite direction.
