Week 2 - Session 3 - Storyboard

A good storyboard is one that basically shows everything you need to know before doing an animation. It is a strong plan that we must have before even touching the computer or the actual instrument which we use for our animation.  It is no need to look fancy or beautiful, it just needs to have the basic shapes or shadows.
Most of the time it looks like a comic with squares in which we can draw some of the key poses of the story. We can add some notes, actually it is recommended to write a sentence below each square to show the main idea of each story part.
It is used also to decide the staging, how are the character placed in the shot and in relation to other objects/characters. We can also add little notes or arrows which can help you with the animation, just to remind you that something moves in a specific way at a specific point in the shot.
A good planning means that you have a clear idea of what you will do next, before starting, and the best way to do it is to have a storyboard that shows everything, every stage, every key frame or every change that will happen.
