Semester 2 - week 11 - Urban Interiors: Contemporary architectural spaces - exploring light & surface detail
A contemporary interior from the coffee shop at the Media Museum in Bradford. The drawing was made using water coulur pencils, conte crayon and grayscale markers and I wanted to give the idea of a interior design sketch from nowadays.
The composition was made using rule of thirds with the focal point at the left bottom point from this rule, where the chairs are arranged in a circular position and the contrast is the most powerful. The implied lines are the outline of the sofas that are pointing in that direction and the contrast on the glass wall near the focal point.
The horizon line is where the back wall meets the floor, also placed close to the bottom line of the rule of thirds.
